Death and Hell and My Part ...

I'm sitting here in the office with a Subway sandwich and musing about Soul Winning! Today one of my guitar students who is about 10 years old was reading this 5 inch thick book called DEATH by Terry Pratchett! He explained that the character was humourous and the storyline went something along the lines of death being a good guy who translates people to another place. The onus was on the person's beliefs as to where they would go! Not heaven ... or hell, but wherever and whatever they believed would happen afterwards! Apparently one fella thought if he had a potato or something blah blah then he would be okay. Or another lady went somewhere nice cos that's what she believed would be.
To make a long story short, i could only ask him whether it was fictional or true! Would it have been okay for me to witness to him on the job? Is giving him little bits of truth or things to think about okay? How far does Christ want me to go? How do i apply verses to my life properly like ...
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Heb 9:27
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. 2Cor. 5:11a

What a joy to be apart of the work being done here at Bible Baptist Church of Ballincollig. We are into our 7th month of service here and there is a ton of work to do. The rewards are absolutely wonderful. The souls saved, the fellowship and the spirit here is heavenly. I mean Kathy and I are so glad to be in the center of God's will. Pastor Ledbetter has been the iron for me here to sharpen me. He has been helping, and challenging me to grow even more. I and still learning and hope I never stop. Brother John Mahony is a true blessing. To see a young man who loves the Lord and His Word could be considered rare today. He is able to do just about anything he is asked to do. I really haven't seen him skip a beat since I arrived here in Ireland. The Lord is going to use this young man in ways he may not even be aware. May he keep that tender heart and good attitude. Keith Hamilton and his family are being used greatly of the Lord as they minister here at the church. Bro. Keith is willing to do anything he is asked and is very accomplished at alot of technical stuff. We all are not really looking forward to seeing Pastor Craig leave for the States for four months, but has to be done as he visits his supporting churches. We have been encouraged to not only hold the course but grow even though he will be away. He has helped us lay the ground work to keep heading in the right direction and we plan on doing just that. Our prayer is to see him return in Sept. with his family and plenty of blessings to tell us about. Till next time trust in the Lord. Prov. 3:5,6
